I am still looking for the answers about kindred healthcare inc. who started it, and the history of kindred?

I have googled and reasearched, and the website doesn't help much. i have very specific questions needed answered for a reasearch paper. Such as who started the company, how much money did they start with. The reasons why they started the company, what is their philosophy, are there any major players such as political canidates, industry leaders or experts involved. These are the questions, and I can't find them. Thank you to all of you with some ideas.
